2 nites ago we attended the launch party at Red Dot Design Museum. It was really cool! They set up many game booths for the guests to try out the new games like Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, PGR, and Dead or Alive 4.
Young and nerdy-looking guys make up the main crowd. Girls weren't many. A few celebrities were there to grace the event. Denise Keller was the emcee for the nite. Familiar faces like Lisa Ang and her hubby, Rantung, Melody Chen and Howard (the guy whom Denise Keller dropped for Wolfgang in An Eye for A Guy in the final round) were also spotted in the crowd. Wilson Chia (if I heard it correctly), the runner-up in the World Cybergame last year, was there too. Effortlessly, he beat Denise single-handedly (yes...literally he used only one hand to control the game pad) in Dead or Alive 4 competiton.
Being one of the early birds, we got ourselves a nice white sports bag for free gift.Finger food and drinks were going round through the whole evening.
Microsoft is unprecedentedly generous this time...unlike any other launches before. They gave away 5 units of Xbox 360, some game packs and 20 collector's items of Xbox accessories during games and lucky draws. Unfortunately, we were not the lucky ones.
The party lasted for 2 hours. It is only at 10 pm they let those who have made preorders, like us, to collect the game console. When the clock struck 10 pm, everyone cheered loudly as the first game console was released.
