The Love of Grandparents

Chevonne is so blessed to have so many people love her, esp her grandparents, i.e. my parent-in-laws.

Eversince I have stopped working and took over the job of caring for her, my PILs have never stopped missing her for a day. Understanding how they have grown attached to her over the months, I would bring her over to their place at least twice a week. Sometimes, I would even ask them along if I were to bring her to shopping, library or whatsoever. Although I must admit it is a little troublesome to bring her out to my PIL's place, I think it is good for Chevonne and my PILs to spend some time together for bonding.

Between my PILs, my father-in-law dotes on Chevonne most. My MIL is more stern with her, as she has always been with her own kids. My FIL can play and talk to her all day long. Whenever she visits them, they would bring her out for shopping or sight-seeing. There's one time my FIL actually took her on a round trip on SengKang LRT just for the fun of it. The whole ride back-and-forth took almost one hour!

You won't believe how much he dotes on her. All it takes is a little whining, my FIL would come running to her, and carry her for hours. He would drop everything he is doing, even when he is having meals, to run to his whining granddaughter. He also likes to carry her even if she is not fussing. Fred and I couldn't help but be amazed at the ability of my FIL to carry her continuously for hours. You see, she is almost 10 kg heavy! Can you imagine carrying a baby on your arms that is as heavy as a sack of rice for hours? Even my hubby, who is bigger and stronger than his father, can't do it!

According to my hubby, he has never seen his parents filling with so much joy, not at least for the past decade. Their eyes twinkle the moment their precious appears before their eyes.

I guess our babies are really so blessed to have their grandparents dote on them so much.
I'm sure next time we become grandparents, we will also be likewise ;)
My parents too, everytime Raphael lets out a little cry, the 2 of them will rush to his attention ,carry him, sooth him all the way till he is happy.
Very high probablity that he will be a very spoilt kid.
for me, so far, i think i also spoil him, however its a very natural action. how to avoid over spoiling our kids?
hehe

haha... you are asking a mother who is equally guilty.

The funny thing is when we were young, they do not dote on us as much! :P
