Sigh...Oct has been a really bad month for my girl's health.
After recovering from her sickness of 2 weeks, she is now infected with fungus in her private area.
It started off as diaper rash when she was having diarrhea for almost a week last week. But no matter how much we apply the anti-diaper rash cream, it just get worse. It got so bad that her private area was all covered with red, sore and wet bumps which looks like hives. Suspecting it could be something else,we decided to bring her to see dr before the condition deteriorates.
Dr said they are actually fungus, not diaper rash. The bateria could have been developed during the time when she had a prolonged diarrhea and slowly transformed into fungal infection. No wonder the symptoms never go away despite our efforts in applying the anti-rash cream.
We now understand why she has not been able to sleep well, and keep scratching herself. It must have been very itchy and irritating for her.
