Chevonne really amazes me nowadays. She picks up things very fast, much to our surprises.
A week ago, after my FIL read out "Apple" when showing the flash card to her, she was able to say "AHHHH...PER"...not just once but many times! However, when it comes to other fruits, we do not see much success. So now all she know about fruits is apple. :P
Two days ago, she choked while drinking water, so I patted her chest and her back to relieve her. After I patted her, I saw her patting her chest in imitation. But I didn't think much of it until today. Today at her grandparent's house, she choked again and before my MIL can come to her rescue, she was surprised to see her patting herself! She later told us about this incident.
And yesterday morning, I imitated the sound of Tarzan by tapping my palms on my mouth repeatedly while saying "AHHHHHH....!AHHHHHHH!". The next moment, she was doing the same! For the whole of today, she was so proud of it, and show it to her grandparents and uncles much to their amusement.
In physical development aspect, she is now able to walk a longer distance unassisted. Hopefully she can walk more steadily before her birthday next week.
As for verbal development, she is able to express her wants like milk by saying "Nah..Nah..Nah..." (for Nai Nai in mandarin), "Mummmm...Mummmm..." for food, and tap her chest a few times to say that she is "Pa4 Pa4" (means "scared" in mandarin) when she saw something that she is afraid of or if she fell down or knock into something.
No wonder people say that a kid's mind is like a sponge! They can absorb more than u can imagine.
