10 mths old

Chevonne is now about 10 mths and 2 weeks old. Here are some of the milestones she has achieved:

She is able to call "Ma Ma" but that's only when she is in distress and needs me to come to her rescue. :(

She can also walk a few steps without any aid. With a push walker, she can go quite a distance.

After some "intensive training", she is now able to gesticulate "bye bye", "Sang Nao Jing"(headache), "Bao Bao" (tummy full) and "Pa pa" (scared). If u sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars to her, she would drop whatever things she is doing, and open and close her both hands repeatedly to mimick twinkling stars. And whenever she saw people clapping, be it on TV or around her, she would quickly join in the applause too. :))

But not all is so cutesy about her. She likes to scream her lungs out for no reasons and this happens anytime, anywhere! It is esp embarrassing when we were dining in a restaurant , and this little Sarah Brightman wannabe just couldn't stop screaming! We could feel the weight of the stares from the people around us while she is happily screaming away. We try to hush her but when all attempts failed, I have to cover her mouth with my hand just to keep her quiet. :P

Recently, she seems to be a little insecured. For many nites, she would wake up in the wee hours, wailing loudly. It is only when I put her on our bed, then she would quiet down and go back to sleep. I wonder how long will this go on. Cos it has been really uncomfortable sleeping with her hands and legs all over me. Dun see her so tiny, with her arms and legs all stretched out, the amount of space she takes up in the bed is more than me and Fred combined! Poor us, we have to sleep on the edge of the bed for fearing that we might squash her.:(

hey! why not get this http://www.safety1st.com/product.asp?productID=586
push her bed next to yours. then you can have more bed space at the same time you can co-sleep with her :)

Thanks for the suggestion.

Her cot is just beside us, so it is as good as co-sleeping. The problem is she wants to sleep with us on the same bed! :(
